Brown Toy Box

Terri-Nichelle Bradley is the founder of Brown Toy Box. The company’s mission is to inspire Black children to pursue careers and hobbies where there is typically a lack of representation. Launched as a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) subscription box, Brown Toy Box will expand to include apps, a full online retail shop, children’s products, and digital content, all designed to cultivate critical thinking, curiosity, cultural pride, and confidence.

Brown Toy Box is creating a world were Black children are positively represented and know they can be and achieve anything they set their minds to doing or becoming.

Bradley’s work with Brown Toy Box has been lauded by the Technology Association of Georgia, which recognized Brown Toy Box as the organization’s 2018 Business Champion of Diversity Excellence. She serves as the Atlanta chapter chair for Women in Toys, and is both a Civic Innovation Resident, funded by Spanx and the Sara Blakely Foundation, as well as a 2018 City of Atlanta Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative fellow.

Before launching Brown Toy Box, Bradley led a communications consultancy working with Fortune 500 companies in campaigns designed to connect with the African American community. Prior to that, Bradley served as the VP of Corporate, Crisis, and Public Affairs for the world’s largest global PR agency. With opinion editorials on diversity & inclusion issues and race relations published in Ad Age, PR Week, and numerous other industry publications Bradley was regarded as a subject matter expert on community engagement and crisis management.

Bradley, originally from Minnesota, is a graduate of Augsburg College and is the mother to D’Andre, Justin, Maya, Makayla and the family turtle, Crush.
